Job Description

We are looking for a SAG - AFTRA talent who can provide a voice for The demonic Baker, The goblin Ice cream maker and the Candy rider.
(these fall under Atmospheric voices)

Voice style for Balphagore the demonic baker: He has a gruff, gravelly voice and an Italian
accent.

Voice style for The goblin Ice cream maker: His voice is high and cackling, like a crazy
old man.

Voice style for the Candy rider.: It should be a creepy, thin voice, similar to 0:55 in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KS_5iTz1xFI) or 4:14 in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGrl-6YN-9A

Baker Balphagore is a novel holiday avatar for the Hellbourne hero Balphagore. Instead of
commanding corpses as Balphagore does, Baker Balph commands the baked goods he
has created.

Gumdrop Bombardier(The goblin Ice cream maker) is a very happy goblin who pushes a candy cart across Newerth giving out the deadly treats he made.

The Candy Rider is a sickeningly sweet frozen lich king, riding on the back of a frosted dragon. He is a representation of over-indulgence, and the consequences of consumption beyond what is necessary, manifested as something desirable but ultimately lethal. He appears under the guise of something innocent and attractive, especially to children, which only serves to make his actions that much more sinful.

We expect the voice over recordings to take only 30 minutes. An hour at maximum.

We have effects that we are able to add to the voice if needed, but we
are looking for a voice that can bring this character to life. Please
do not use effects on your voice.

A custom demo from the provided scripts is preferred for evaluation of
candidates. There is no need to read all of the lines, but we would
like to hear what you can do. Hiring will be dependent on being
impactful with your demo.

We will require you, the talent, to either have the equipment at home or find a studio and book with
them and yourself, pay the hourly rate should you be hired, this is not
necessary for demoing purposes.

We would like to direct you over Skype, if possible, inside the studio you book or through source connect. We do not cover the studio cost.

Specific expertise that I'm seeking:

The type of recording we are looking for is someone who will get into
character and not just read the lines--play off of movie/pop culture
references and show us some diversity in tone.

File Format:

The final format is a single mono .wav file of 44khz 16-bit.

Timeframe for delivery:

We'll need the voice-over recorded and delivered to us within 7 days
of acceptance.

Note from Voices.com: This job posting has been reviewed and approved by Voices.com staff. Voices.com recommends that you slate your name and record a portion of the client’s script for auditioning. Please title the audition file with your name to assist the client in selecting an appropriate candidate.
