Job Description

We are looking for both boy and girl characters at about 10-11 years of age. We are open to either adult voice-actors who can deliver authentic child-voices, or child voice actors. In each case, we want the voice actor to bring character and emotion to the script. This is for a children's educational product, so the characters need to come across as smart, likeable, authentic and as having a bit of a hip contemporary attitude. We do not want characters that will make the product seem condescending or patronizing in any way.
Please read the lines for both Kid_A and Kid_B, and do so using the same voice/character. We are open to either male or female voices for both characters.

Part of our goal in this audition process is to explore how much we can push the exaggeration and the extremes of emotion. We have one character (Kid_B) who starts the scene very excited and hyperactive and ends the scene somewhat frustrated and irritated, and another character (Kid_A) who starts the scene very down and depressed, and ends the scene very excited and engaged.

All Dialogue needs to be delivered in a very clear understandable way. When a character exhibits very extreme emotions, the comprehension should not be compromised. It would be ideal if each line could be read several ways so that we can really hear the various extremes and see how far it can be pushed.
