Job Description

The Power Shootout (working title) is a documentary film that tells the story of one of the last gunfights of the old west. The story is set in 1918, shortly after the US has entered the first World War. We are taking reads for the role of Tom Power, an uneducated young man who lived in a remote area of southeastern Arizona.

This read is meant to bring a character from the past to life. Tom Power was a young man of 21 when WWI came around. Tom was a cowboy, raised in the rugged wilderness his entire life, he had a minimal formal education but was extremely intelligent in ranching, shooting, and mining.

This is a first read, in essence a scratch track, that will be used for our initial assembly of the film. This reading will be used internally for review purposes only. We will provide very little direction and there won't be any requests for re-reads. The expectation is that we receive one file with one read. Very simple and straightforward.

Should you be chosen for the role we will create a new contract for the final film. Many thanks!

When reading please make sure to say the name TOM POWER at the end of the lines - this is a crucial portion of the script.

This story takes place in the old west. We are not looking for an over the top cowboy delivery. Think THERE WILL BE BLOOD. Old West that isn't over the top old west.
