Job Description

I am hoping to gather a few quotes and voice samples for 3 animated characters for a voiceover project. Ideally, these characters would be voiced by the same talent. We did have someone lined up, but due to health reasons we are searching again. My client will have final choice on the selection based on the samples provided; ultimately only one talent will be needed for all the characters and/or scripts - it’s important that the same talent be used throughout all scripts for this client/project.

Please see the attached PDF for images of the 3 animated characters (for your reference).
• Adam = Is quirky, humorous (a bit of a court jester) and sometimes mischievous. Has this “geek” vibe to him but you realize he is super cool once you get to know him. Adam and Jamie often work as a pair known as the “Safety Testers”. They specifically cover content surrounding safety within a retail setting.
• Jamie = Is quitter than Adam…a “straight shooter”. He has a deadpan personality that contradicts his subtle sense of humor. Jamie and Adam often work as a pair known as the “Safety Testers”. They specifically cover content surrounding safety within a retail setting.
• Dollar Bill = Is charismatic, fun, laid-back but always eager to help with his big “customer service” smile. Dollar Bill specifically covers content surrounding loss prevention within a retail environment.
• Ultimately, the client wants Jamie and Adam (characters) to send more like Jamie and Adam (real people) from the TV Show MythBusters. The client has purchased the rights to have these characters modeled after the actors from the show. Specifically, they want the black character, Jamie, to sound like the guy with the mustache and beret from the show (aka Jamie). They then want Adam, to sound like Adam (the strawberry blonde on the show). Here are two clips as examples of their voices (in case you do not watch the show

There will be 3 scripts in total (1 script per character); this is the breakdown in word counts to help with your quoting:
• Character “Jamie” script with up to 1,000 words
• Character “Adam” script with up to 1,000 words
• Character “Dollar Bill” script up to 1,000 words

The 3 scripts have the potential of all being voiced at once BUT could also be split up and recorded in up to 5 different sessions. Please use this help with your quoting:
• 3 scripts done in the next two months
• Scripts split into 5 separate recordings starting in the next two months and ending up until September 2014

• 2 invoices will be provided each with 50% of the total quote.
• If the script is a complete re-read, there is a $100 charge, if only a line or so of copy, the charge will be approx $25.
• If re-read is needed due to misread/mispronunciation, there will be no charge.
• Talent to provide individual files (grouped by character and/or month). Each cell/row of copy in the script is one file. I will include the filename to be used within the row, for eg: “VOICE: Jamie4_EN.mp3”
• Please provide those individual files as mp3’s
• Please ensure audio levels/quality are consistent (to account for scripts read at different times, rereads, etc)
• Scripts (i.e., voice files) typically turned around in 24 hours

1. How much notice do you require before we can book a session with you (if we do proceed)?
2. Do you require the script to be provided in advance of the session, and if so, how far in advance?
3. Would you allow someone from our team to listen in on the sessions (via Skype, etc)? This is to address any questions/pronunciations of acronyms, etc instead of when it’s too late. Or what you recommend instead of patching in if this is not an option?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Carrie Tibbs
