Highlights

Bill Weber is an award-winning motorsports journalist who has spent the last twenty-four years covering motorsports events for major television networks. For ten years he was the lead motorsports announcer for NBC Sports including hosting the January 2011 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. He was a member of NBC’s Emmy award-winning NASCAR coverage. Also at NBC he has covered Indy Car racing, the American Lemans series, The Baja 1000 and Championship Off-Road Racing. In addition to his motorsports duties, Weber anchored coverage of the Michael Jordan Charity Golf tournament and has worked as a New York studio anchor for NBC Sports. He spent two seasons covering the Champions Tour for CNBC. He appeared in the movie “Talladega Nights” with Will Ferrell. He also served many years as host and Master of Ceremonies for the NASCAR Awards Banquet from the Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York City that aired TNT and ESPN.

Weber’s motorsports roots reach deep into the heart of unlimited hydroplane racing. In the early 1980’s he covered the sport for six years as a local sports anchor in Evansville, IN and later spent two years working as a public relations consultant for the Miller Brewing Company and championship winning driver Chip Hanauer. In 2011 Weber returned to his racing roots as the host and play-by-play announcer for the H1-Unlimited Hydroplane series that has aired on NBC Sports Network (2011) and Fox Sports Net (2012-2013).
Weber is an avid golfer and a talented magician. He has performed at Wizardz Magic Theater near Disney World and at The Royal Parlor of Magic in St. Petersburg, FL.
Bill is a native of Middletown, NJ (a hometown he shares with his friend and NBC Nightly News anchorman Brian Williams) and was graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis with a degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting.
