Ray Bowman

Ray Bowman has spent his life garnering experience in nearly every form of communications, from print to broadcasting to the internet. Now, he uses that experience combined with his love of farming and rural lifestyle to tell stories of an industry that is thriving against all odds.
In addition to his weekly appearances on America's Web Radio, he writes for The Farmer's Pride newspaper and, in 2011 wrote, executive produced and narrated the video "Faces of Farming" for the Kentucky Soybean Promotion Board.
Bowman has also cultivated a substantial following on the social media platforms Facebook and Twitter to share agriculture information and he regularly writes a popular blog called The Farmer Feeds Us All. As a result of his internet activism, Bowman was named Community Advocate of the Year in Ag Connect's 2011 Advocating for Agriculture Awards. "Social media is essentially, basic communication," Bowman told Cow Country News. "And communication doesn't mean carrying on a monologue, it means participating in a conversation."
Bowman was also named the print journalist winner of Kentucky Farm Bureau’s (KFB) 2012 Communications Awards.
As important as his agriculture advocacy role is, it often has to take a backseat to other areas of interest. He serves as an elder for the Holly Hill church of Christ in Frankfort, KY, which he considers his most important duty. Then, there's his family (especially his two grandchildren) and his 140-acre farm that require his time and attention.

Service Description

Voice-over and on-camera talent

It has been my pleasure to work with Ray Bowman now for a number of years in two different radio productions. Ray has the kind of voice I would describe as soothing while authoritative at the same time. He also is a pleasure to work with in that he has the “old school” ethics and skills and has incorporated that in to modern day technology. Ray brings maturity and authority to any voice over or audio production he is asked to do.

Not only is Ray “quality” talent but after so many years most importantly a friend.

To anyone reading this endorsement if you have a question about Ray Bowman’s abilities please contact me any time at david@americaswebradio.com.
