I have worked in and around the entertainment business since I was a child, my father worked for "Pirate" radio stations back in the day and I always went along and fell in love with industry that way.
In school I was involved in many projects inside and outside of school,
At 15 I worked with Pogus Caesar’s Windrush Productions, this involved presenting in front of camera and editing work
I received GCSE English Lang + Lit Grade C, Speaking and Listening Grade A
I moved to Liverpool when I was 16
I studied Media Studies A Level receiving Grade B
Then studied Broadcast Technology at Liverpool John Moore’s University, I left this course after 1 year because I wanted to try to find experience on my own
I worked for an online radio station in Liverpool called “Shout Radio”, there I hosted my own 2 hour show twice a week.
My jobs their included
• Hosting, one show I hosted alone the other with a partner we had to discuss local news, sport, movies
• Interviewing local bands which included Scouting for Girl’s, Pidgeon Detectives also Lady Dynamite of the once famous So Solid Crew
• Vox Pops, going out to the street to interview the people
Through this job I met many people in the radio industry including Will Bachelor the producer of City Talk a popular Talk Radio station in Liverpool. There I did projects for Radio City (main station in Liverpool) and City Talk (its sister station)
For the last 5 years I have been working for Celebrity Cruise Lines, I joined the company as a bar waiter but after 1 ½ year I managed to changed my department to the entertainment team.
There joined the Activity Staff it was our job to host games, trivia’s etc. throughout the day. After my first contract doing this job I was promoted to manager.
For the last 3 years I have been Activity Manager for Celebrity,
Although I was born in Birmingham and have lived the Liverpool for last 16 years I have somehow managed to escape the very distinctive accents that originate from both cities. Which has helped me with the kind of work I do.
