After graduation in Michigan, I moved to Orlando, Florida and started to work for Walt Disney World at EPCOT Center and Bus operations. I then (at the same time) got invoved with the airlines. I have now been with the airlines going on 24 years. What got me interested in voice announcments is the fact of what all my friends, family and co-workers/Managers have told me hundreds of times. I cannot count how many times people have said "Are you a disc Jockey" or "you have an unbelievable speeking voice" just by ordering tickets to a movie etc, od “why are you wasting your talents with the airlines?" You see, I had to do public announcenments at Disney as well as bus operations and the airlines. I remember like it was yesterday after I had made a quite lengthy announcement to our passengers, the GM walked right up to be a siad "You know Mike, I sure wish we could record your voice when your not working and just push play" I will never forget that. Just last week after making another lengthy announcment at my airline gate, a passenger started to board, stopped and turned around and said "I just wanted to tell you that you have an unbelievable speeking voice”. The current airport I am working wants me to go to the local studio and record the airport announcments that are required by the FAA, TSA and the Department of trasportation. I gladly accepted!! I have had this type of announcing voice since I can remember and finally would like to do something about it. Another example is when I worked for Disney, we had to take the ferry boat to the Magic Kindom to report to work. I asked a friend of mine, instead of playing the recording, let me do it live! reluctantly he agreed. After the ferry boat trip was over, many of the ferry boat cast members came up to me stating that I "blew their mind" and that they had no idea I could do that! As my manager stated "your wasting your time here" So I am looking for a chance and/or break so that a studio could see what I can do as well as coach me.I feel this is what I was meant to do!

As stated I have been "mocking" different voice overs for the past 20 years, starting at Walt disney world in which I had to do announcements daily for the various rides, also announcements for the theartres. I now have been in the airline industry for 20 years and there is not a week (maybe 2 ) that goes by were a passenger actually stops and tells me what an unbelievable voice I have. One passenger told me I am wasting my time working for an airline. Most of my training was from Disney. I had certain "spiels" we had to do for the various attractions in which I never followed SOP. I love the microphone and would expand way beyond the announcment that was supossed to be said. As I already stated, one of my most favorable moments is when I boarded the Walt Disney Ferry Boat, an which they have a ptr-recoreded spiel (at the time) of jack Wagner, later dubbed as the "Voice of Disney". I took it upon myself to learn the entire spiel. One day, a friend that operated the ferry boat let me do it live instead of hitting thr pre-recoreded spiel by Jack. I had alot of fun doing it. Of course the guests had no idea, however, the cast members working on the boat told me "Man you just blew are mind away, we didn't know you had that talent" It made me feel very good. All throughout the years after Disney I continued to speaking this way when I was on the PA system at the airlines. Also, as I stated, the GM of American Airlines made it a point to stop and tell me "Mike, when you are off work, I wish we had your voice on tape, where we could just push play" All of this took me by suprise as I was basically just fooling around. I now know I would like the chance to audition and see what your company has to say! I realize it may not be what you are looking for, bur I would just ask for a chance!
I am just an High School Graduate. 1 week after graduation I immediately moved to Florida and started working at Walt Disney Work, 1 week later. As far as other education, I feel my many years of expierane and the deepening of my voice, makes up for that. Of course thats your call!
