Highlights

My voice is naturally deep and relaxed, and has been described as smooth and sexy while also easily able to shift to a strong and intimidating tone. Primarily I have done work using voices that range from my natural tone to a deeper, gruff, villainous tone. While this is the norm, I have also been challenge by clients in the past to voice characters with a higher tone of voice, often adding a sense of insanity to the character. The roles I am used to filling are: the villain, the insane one, the strongman, and older mentor, and the father.

Experience

I began doing voice over work doing introductions and outros for podcasts. As a hobby, I began doing fandub work with directors on YouTube of various animes, several of which had no official English dub. Gradually I was recruited into other dubbing mediums which included audio plays and machinima; reading from scripts and recording voices that I had to bring to life with their own sound and personality. A list of everything I have worked on for YouTube directors that is online to date is listed under the user name of RockTheGolem.

I have no formal voice-over specific training. Everything I know I have learned through a combination of trial-and-error, while simultaneously consulting online sources for information with which I am able to keep myself informed.

I was a stage actor for almost 20 year, and in that time performed in over 30 shows, many of which I played a major role, if not the lead. My experience ranges from Shakespeare to Sondheim, and included the need to learn accents, enunciate properly, and project my voice clearly. The majority of these performances required singing as well. Several of these years were spent as a paid professional.
