Highlights

I have a relaxing and comforting baritone voice, a voice that relates well to listeners. In fact, my next-door-neighbor says I sound just like \"the guy next door;\" and he knows NOTHING about voice-over! What a testimony, right?

On the serious side, I've been doing this for many years, in addition to writing and acting, and have learned from some of the best in the business like Bill DeWees, Susan Berkley and Bill Smith. I've never had a complaint from anyone who's used my voice work. With my experience in video production, I won't be taking your time with elemental questions about voice work, or, how you do what you do. The way I see it, we're in this together; so, let's get it done!

Experience

I've enjoyed voice-over work since I began, back in 1990. Most of that time, I've worked for cable, broadcast, and independent production companies. Now, I'm on my own! I'm a male, a "jolly elf" who can be serious when the need arises. I've done short and long-form narration, including commercials for broadcast, Secondary Audio Program (SAP), and corporate video narrations. In addition, I've done work in front of the camera and on local stages. The "journey" has been incredible, and I feel as if I'm just starting!

Studio

  • Microphone

Marshall Electronics MXL V69 with a sweet-sounding Telefunken 12AT7 tube, CEntrance Mic Pro pre-amp. I think simple is best; I want a clean audio chain.

  • Computer & Software

    Amadeus Pro

  • Special Equipment

None. My audio chain is short and low noise.

  • Delivery Methods

email seems to be most popular. Delivery time for CDs take longer, according to the project.

  • Turnaround Time

Depending on schedule and work to be performed. Thirty second commercials usually about 24 hours, though I have turned them around in a few minutes. It just depends on my schedule and the script.. Anything longer may take more time.

Service Description

Short and long-form narration for any project needing a mature male voice. My voice is baritone, and has been described as soothing, relaxing, and comforting. One young lady said that when she took her next massage, she wanted to be hearing my voice in the background! Massages aside, consider my voice for banking, credit union, financial topics, anywhere you need a smooth re-assuring voice. On the flip side, I can do fun, humorous stuff, too, which you'll hear in my commercial demo!
