I have a variety of voices that I use in my classroom when I read novels. I love impersonating celebrities such as Forest Gump, the Crocodile Hunter, and Elmo to make learning fun for my students. Accents are fairly easy for me to pick up, and I love reading novels aloud.

I am an experienced 7th Grade Language Arts instructor, and I have read novels aloud to my classes for over 13 years of teaching. Although I have never done this for an audiobook, I created my own narrative of Rodman Philbrick's "Freak the Mighty" on Youtube. My students say they love the variety of voices I use. Feel free to check it out below for a sample of my work.

I am writing to you to express my interest in reading audiobooks for your company. Being a 7th Grade Language Arts instructor since 2004, I love literature. Reading novels aloud brings joy to my students, and I would love the opportunity to spread that joy to others. I would be a perfect fit to read books for your company for multiple reasons.
First and foremost, I have a variety of voices that my students enjoy hearing. I have impersonated everything from the Crocodile Hunter to Elmo to Forest Gump, and I love making character voices come alive through my own interpretations. My Southern accent comes alive when reading the Outsiders, and I impersonate a variety of characters in Freak the Mighty, including a creepy murderer, a teenager with Morquio syndrome, and a white trash motorcycle gang leader.
Besides the variety of voices I enjoy using, I created a Youtube channel in the fall of 2015 that now has over 900 subscribers. Although I created this for my students, the majority of my followers come from outside my school. Teachers and students alike have used my channel to read Freak the Mighty and My Louisiana Sky. As of right now, my site has 313,327 hits and counting, and many followers have left encouraging comments.
Finally, I have two years of acting experience while serving my church through Vacation Bible School. The first year I impersonated Captain Skippy, a hard-of-hearing, elderly ship captain; and the following summer I became a wacky, overly-enthusiastic mad scientist by the name of Dr. Tanner. It gave me a high like none other to see the kids smile and laugh, all while teaching them about my true passion in life: finding a relationship with Christ.
Whether it be male or female, old or young, I have been told that my voices bring characters to life. I would love the opportunity to interview with your company for any audiobook opening. Feel free to contact me anytime via e-mail at (Email hidden) or by phone at (Phone hidden). I look forward to hearing back from you!
