Here's her full bio:

Joan Bryna Michelson, MBA is a voice for innovators and leaders in the clean energy/sustainability field, especially women. She is Founder and CEO of Green Connections Media™, an innovative media and consulting firm focused on how the energy and the green economy is changing every aspect of our lives. She is also host of the firm’s flagship radio show-podcast-video series, Green Connections Radio™ that covers the full range of topics, including policy, business, the arts, jobs, consumers, and technology, and features mostly women experts.

Michelson is an award-winning, creative and well-connected business and communications leader, public speaker and journalist who also has a current blog on the Huffington Post, and has been a blogger on (Website hidden) and (Website hidden), where she has been an on-air expert as well (largest radio station in the U.S. by sales). Other top broadcast media she has worked with include: CBS “60 Minutes,” ABC News, and NBC (see below for print). Her marketing work has helped generate millions in revenue and branding for Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, government agencies and non-profits.

Pioneering, launching or reinvigorating businesses and organizations with both short-term and long-term success, including in clean energy, is a hallmark of Michelson’s career. She drove “best year ever” growth at the then-12-year old Chrysler’s Global Electric Motorcars (GEM) through creative, strategic and integrated media and marketing strategies, which helped boost adoption of electric vehicles. These include: earning coverage on Page One of The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post, features in Time magazine, "The Today Show," Consumer Reports, and The LA Times, on CNN Money, CBS, and the top pick on Yahoo! and Google. She also worked with the U.S. Department of Energy (including increasing the number of women applicants for SBIR grants), the Clean Energy Alliance, Earth Day Network, Global Environment Fund, and global environmental consulting firm Marstel-Day.

An adept public speaker, Michelson has anchored the livestream of (Website hidden) and addressed the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Naval Academy, National Council for Science and the Environment’s New Green or New Energy Economy Conferences, CalSTART HTUF, National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Executive Women in Government, Women Impacting Public Policy, Zonta International (the oldest women’s organization in the world), and the Small Business Administration, as well as university classes.

As a reporter, in addition to those mentioned above, she has written numerous articles including for: (Website hidden), The Washington Post, The New Economy, and Life & Style magazine, and a column on leadership for a regional business journal. She also penned an excerpt on women in government leadership in the book If Women Ruled the World (Inner Ocean Publishing, 2005), an excerpt in an international innovation book (Kogan Press, 2015), and has her own energy-related book due out in 2016.
Michelson’s marketing communications initiatives have helped generate millions in revenue for Fortune 500 management consulting firms American Express and Deloitte, and for smaller firms such as Fair, Anderson and Langerman, and international environmental consulting firm Marstel-Day (woman-owned).

Michelson and her firms earned industry awards from the Broadcasters Association, the International Association of Business Communicators, the American Marketing Association, and the Public Relations Society of America, and one of her stories on “60 Minutes” was nominated for an EMMY. She has been an Adjunct Professor in the Communications and Journalism Department of Columbia Union College in Maryland, and actively involved in the community, focused on promoting clean tech and the advancement of women.

Bachelor of Arts in English from UCLA, a Master of Business Administration from Bernard M. Baruch College, City University of New York in the executive program, and various post-graduate studies - including in leadership at Harvard Business School and The Aspen Institute - round out Michelson's portrait.

As a unique aside, Michelson is a descendant of three prominent siblings: Albert A. Michelson was the first American scientist to win the Nobel Prize (physics, 1907), Charles Michelson was FDR's White House Communications Director/Press Secretary; and Miriam Michelson literally kept the women’s suffrage movement on the front page, as a reporter for the San Francisco Call and the Philadelphia Inquirer and one of the foremost interviewers of Susan B. Anthony.
