I used to work at a post-production company in NY called Whitehouse Post and we would sometimes step in and do temporary Voiceovers for commercials until we got the real voiceover artist to record. I was told I sounded really good and completely different with my "professional voiceover voice." So from there I started to take an interest. I also am known from my friends to do many weird accents or funny voices while just playing around, and they seem to think I'm quite good at impersonating too. Unfortunately, I haven't had the pleasure of doing any character acting, which is something I'm very interested in. But, doing VO for informative web videos for a variety of clients has kind of been my schtick recently. At my new job at Group SJR, we will sometimes get requests in from Dell especially, to do VOs about technology. I stepped in one day saying, "Hey, I think I could do these for you so we don't have to outsource" and ever since then, I've been doing Voiceover work for my own job on the side for our clients. It's kind of random how it happened but I really do love and enjoy doing it :)
I went to The Savannah College of Art and Design and got my BFA in Film and Television production. Whilst there I did radio broadcast for 2-3 years, once hosting our regular rotation shows for a year and then another year and a half hosting a musicals only radio show with my roommate called "Smokin Showtunes Shmotunes." I also did some minor voice acting in my very good friends final animation piece in college. I now work at an Agency in the Flatiron district as a video editor and videographer.
