I have widely varied experience in commercial voice-over for TV and radio, news reading, and corporate video. Currently, I am the main live audio describer providing services for blind and visually impaired patrons at the Stratford Festival of Canada. I have also recorded audio description for TV and film, and was one of two audio describers for the 6 hour live broadcast of the 2011 Royal Wedding (AMI/CBC co-production).
My most favourite voice job to date was the character voice of Creakie, a bratty blue monster, during the two-season run of WEE 3 on Treehouse TV: a voice best described as "Bart Simpson swallowed by Ethel Merman"!
As a professionally trained actor, I have the skills to portray a wide gamut of emotions and characters suitable to almost any project you care to throw at me! I spent 10 years acting on stages in Toronto in everything from Medieval and Renaissance plays, modern dramas and comedies, to live sketch comedy at the Rivoli.
I love playing with words and language. I am a fiction writer, and also have a strong background in communications writing a variety of articles and marketing materials. I pride myself my ability to bring out the best in any script.
