Mark is a freelance writer and director currently based in Minneapolis.
The majority of his professional theatre experience is with Dudley Riggs’ Theatres. He began as technical director for the Resident Company and has since written, directed, and acted for both resident and touring companies. Other writing, acting and producing includes; radio/television commercials, corporate conferences and national trade shows
Mark has also worked at several Twin Cities radio stations. He held the positions of program writer, music director, operations director, and on-air announcer.
In 1995 Mark co-found the production company, EnsembleWorks with fellow Dudley Riggs alum & legendary Twin City performer, Chris Denton. Together they write, produce and occasionally appear in a variety of theatrical, industrial & commercial projects.
Mark would be content to spend his days sitting in a recording booth telling you about a new movie that is in theaters now, which store has the best prices on lumber, that the time has come for everyone to take their seats, or to simply say, “In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate but equally important groups -- the police who investigate crime and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories.”
His twin career goals of only working with people he likes & trusts and of never having a 9-5 job have been fairly successful. He has since abandoned his initial career goal; that of being a child prodigy.
