My first voiceover job, as well as my first job ever, was playing a gossiping Muppet named "Toya", on a Saturday morning series called "Citykids" (Jim Henson Productions). Being a non-muppeteer voice for a muppet was a rare opportunity. It was an amazing introduction into the world of voice over, and a great source of education.
I am an experienced session vocalist (Jingles, BVs), and now putting myself out there specifically as a voice-over talent has been the perfect marriage to studio work I've already been doing as a session vocalist.
I've done PSA voice over work (which often involved singing) for many youth focused networks (Nickelodeon/PBS)
I've worked with educators doing in-character historical narrations, sexual health based interactive programs for teens, and an ongoing math series as an inquisitive young boy student.
I have years of various theater & acting training, including work with The CityKids Foundation, which provided me with a wide range of professional training, while giving me performance and production experience from a young age.
I have worked as a teaching artist with various arts initiative based programs in NYC. I've taught acting/improv, vocal performance, and dramatic writing workshops to students ranging from pre-school to novice adult. My educational theater background often coupled performances with in-character workshops. These experiences have been invaluable to me as a voice-over artist.
Puppeteering Workshop with John Tartaglia (Sesame Street/Avenue Q/ImaginOcean)
Working as a session vocalist for a broad range of musical genres, I've developed a great ear for vocal matching, and harmonizing, which helps greatly with voice over projects. I am also a karaoke master, so there is no genre of music too obscure for me to tackle. Music is one of my favorite forms of expression!
