I'm Cenophia (or Nophi), and my voice is as unique as my name!
My vocal style is warm yet cool - with a relaxed confidence, or with animated high energy, to match a wide range of projects, and a unique sound that stands out from the rest! My experience includes work in the following areas:
Animation and Cartoons
Commercials (Radio and Television)
Film (Characters and Narration)
How to Videos and Troubleshooting Guides
Imaging (Podcast and Radio Imaging)
Mobile Apps and Games
PSAs and Call to Action Spots
Songs and Jingles
Telephony/Voicemail and IVR
Trailers (App Trailers, Game Trailers, and Book Trailers)
Whiteboard and Explainer Videos
I can portray the friendly girl next door, an enthusiastic teen, an honest millennial, a savvy mom, an informed expert, an inspired student, a poetic storyteller, a relatable professional, or a caring advocate... and all with an approach that is natural, and believable.
My versatile voice can also be described as:
• Warm, Conversational, and Friendly.
• Genuine and Honest
• Sassy, Strong Attitude, and No Nonsense
• Wry, Sarcastic, and Humorous.
• Sexy, Smooth, Sultry, and Attractive
• Fun, Youthful, Playful, and Upbeat (Generation X,Y,Z)
• Authentically Urban, Trendy, and Hip
• Calming, Motivational, Relaxed, and Reassuring
• Confident, Strong, and Knowledgeable.
• Thoughtful, Caring, and Concerned
• Sophisticated, and Professional.
• Slightly Raspy, and Edgy
And is most commonly described as simply Cool.
I can play a variety of characters for Animation/Cartoons, Anime, Video Games, Apps, Product Mascots, Educational Programs and Film - Some of my favorite character types to voice include Adventurous Little Boys, Cute Little Girls, Marilyn Monroe type bombshells, Urban girls with Attitude, Perky Cheerleaders, Kid Geeks, Sweet Princesses, Mean Teen Girls, Adventurous Heroines, All types of Evil Villains... I'm comfortable with child voices, and over the top characters of all ages, as well as realistic characters. I have been told often that I have great comedic timing. Being able to sing also comes in handy!
As a true native New Yorker, I'm comfortable with various New York & New Jersey dialects (Queens, Long Island, Brooklyn, Bronx, New Jersey). I am also comfortable with various American Southern dialects, Authentic Urban dialects (keeping up to date with the latest slang). Other accents include Traditional Valley girl, Slight Latin, Slight British, Slight French, Ambiguously Exotic, and I'm fluent in Sarcastic Tones.

Every new project is exciting for me, and an opportunity to bring my best!
My first voiceover job, as well as my first job ever, was playing a gossiping Muppet named "Toya", on a Saturday morning series called "Citykids" (Jim Henson Productions). Being a non-muppeteer voice for a muppet was a rare opportunity. It was an amazing introduction into the world of voice over, and a great source of education.
I am an experienced session vocalist, and working specifically as a voice-over talent has been the perfect marriage to studio work I've already been doing as a session vocalist. My vocals have been featured on projects with recording artists (Mark Ronson/Non Phixion), as well as many youth focused projects (Nickelodeon/PBS/Sesame Studios)
I have years of various theater & acting training, including work with The CityKids Foundation, which provided me with a wide range of professional performance and production experience from a young age.
As a NYC based teaching artist, I've taught acting/improv, vocal performance, and dramatic writing workshops to students ranging from pre-school to novice adult, as well as leadership based trainings. These experiences have been invaluable to me as a voice-over artist, and helped me learn how to connect with a wide range of audiences. I've worked with educators doing in-character historical narrations, sexual health based interactive programs for teens, a reading program as a cute kangaroo, and a math series playing a tutor role as well as child roles from 1st to 6th grade.
Working as a session vocalist for a broad range of musical genres, I've developed a great ear for vocal matching, and harmonizing, which helps greatly with voice over projects. I am also a karaoke master, so there is no genre of music too obscure for me to tackle. Music is one of my favorite forms of expression!
Other voice-over related training includes:
Puppeteering Workshop with John Tartaglia (Sesame Street/Avenue Q/ImaginOcean)
Voice technique with Lainie Cooke
Vocal technique with Prof. Yvonne Hatchett
Voiceover coaching with Anna Garduno (VoiceForward)
Audio-Technica AT2035 Cardioid Microphone. Apogee MiC. iRig mic. Pop Filters/Screens. Kaotica Eyeball.

Steinberg UR12 - Audio Interface. Full Music Studio access with notice.
Email. Dropbox. WeTransfer.
I have a wide range, a creative approach, and greet every project with enthusiasm.
I also have a great ear, and I am very good at taking direction, as well as self direction.
I can provide general copywriting, character copy, or copy-editing services (including making the copy sound more conversational, or incorporating American slang).
I will travel to studios in New York City (all boroughs, and nearby areas), and parts of New Jersey.
Full Music Recording Studio Access with advanced notice
I have experience as an Apple Certified Technician, so I am computer savvy.
I have a flexible schedule, making it easy to meet deadlines.
Making sure each project is a success is my bottom line.

It was our second time working with Cenophia. She was fantastic to work with. Loved that she was able to take on a second character in our game, and bring that character to life with a completely different voice style and personality. She captured the essence of that character on the first try. I also appreciated the quick turnaround and high quality voiceover she provided us. Would definitely work with her again.TinyCo, Marvel Avengers Academy
