Hi Shawn,
I love the way you shaped the audio! Your enthusiastic voice, provocative insights and clarifying definitions really make for a compelling learning module. As you mentioned when we first met, this form of content is a new twist on the conventional interview. Rather than Q&A, it's a clever way to begin with a theme and reinforce it with fresh eyes content and context.
Thanks for a great experience!

In response to the SciWorks Radio Episode, Are You a Scientist?

Shawn did a special voice over narration for our tour introduction video. He was very professional to work with, always promptly replying to emails. He sent us a professionally produced voice over, in an authentic period accent, with a very quick turn around time. Overall, he was excellent to work with, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

This letter is in testimonial to fine and professional work that Shawn Fitzmaurice did in assisting me with my stage production of EXIT LAUGHING with the Kernersville Little Theatre in Kernersville, NC. Shawn designed sound for my show and his work was exemplary. He also recorded all of the music that I needed for the production, and took the time to train my sound technician on how to operate the audio equipment. He supplied audio equipment from his own shop to simplify the process which was challenging for the new technician. As a result, the show ran without any problems. I could not be happier that Shawn and I worked together on this production. His attitude was professional and genial---even when I kept coming to him for revisions. You could not work with better!

Sound Design and Technical Training for ‘Exit Laughing’ with Kernersville Little Theater

When Kernersville Little Theatre hired me to direct THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE as their fall 2015 production, I knew it would take very special lighting and sound to bring that magical story to life on stage. I was so fortunate to find a professional level sound designer already involved in KLT.

Shawn and I were already acquainted with each other, but I had no idea of the skills he possessed that would so effectively impact THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE. I knew that I wanted the soundtrack for the show to come from the genre of old world Celtic Music. Shawn and I met one Sunday morning for breakfast and several hours later we knew that the music and sound effects for KLT's THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE were going to elevate the professionalism of the production.

Shawn not only designed the sound, he gave his time and ran sound for the run of the show. Having his expertise in the sound booth was wonderful. I can't thank him enough for the work he did on that production.

After THE LION, THE WTICH AND THE WARDROBE closed in Kernersville, the technical aspects; set, costumes and props were moved to Walkertown High School for a high school version of the production. Shawn gave his time and talents to developing and recording CDs with the sound track for my production at WHS. You can't miss by working with such creative talent available right here in our area. I look forward to collaborating with Shawn on future productions.

If you are looking for a professional in the sound industry, I would recommend Shawn. His work is thorough, meeting your vision and quality. He just worked with our group, OFF THE BEATEN PATH PRODUCTIONS in our current play, CIRCLE MIRROR TANSFORMATION. His musical transitions greatly enhance the audience's experience!

As an Irish musician, I wouldn't expect to discover new Irish music while listening to a broadcast out of North Carolina, but that was often the case with Paddy-Whacked Radio. Due to strong research, and the good relationships he struck up with hundreds of musicians and music-lovers from all over, he always managed to keep the content fresh and the quality high. He put Greensboro on the map for me, and I suspect many others.

I approached Shawn about voicing an ad for our annual event, Triad Dog Games. He had a professionally recorded piece in my inbox before I woke up the next morning! Knowing we were a 501c3, not for profit organization, he provided his services pro-bono. I couldn't have asked for a more professional and supportive interaction. I would use his services again, and would recommend him to anyone.
