Susan has a strong background of 23+ years in Communications.
Susan has maintained and participated in a long history of various vocal formats and ground breaking processes for ways humans interact on a verbal level. With over a decade and a half in radio, In her collegiate days she was an ON-AIR talent at a radio station and getting her groove on when the University would let her! Her voice has been heard on Fortune 500 company ads with national products long before the genre of 'Voice Over' came about.
She has done television broadcasts (both news and sports), and she has been on satellite radio, and produced podcasts and webinars, too. A seasoned copy writer, and talent producer and part-time audio editor, Susan is now a full-time Voice Over talent/actor working with several other public sector, private corporations, and professional industry clients. Susan is also a widely used and popular choice for hire on several voice seeking sites. Her early broadcasting experience is derived from childhood days when she would either be the announcer and emcee of her own neighborhood production of a talent show or modeling fashion show, or her days of enlisting her grandfather to set up a camera and a tape recorder for a cooking show, and playing it back to the sheer delight and joy of all those who knew what a hysterical little hellion she truly was. It was her early teenage passion with Ham radio communications, CB radios, and an early job as a dispatcher for a moving company, while working through college as a receptionist that she realized her true calling as a communicator, impressionist, and mockster.
After college, her voice was once the 'go-to' voice for a recruiting company and all their training and marketing videos. And, shortly before the beginning of this millenium, (back in 1999) she was chosen as the Director of Sales for a Y2K software company and became the 'voice' of the company with her dulcet tones being heard on all training videos, on-hold messages, company-wide inner office phone systems, and inventory control products and services.
Later, she achieved her upper education credentials with a degree from Texas Tech University (Bachelor of Arts & Sciences in Radio, TV, Film) in Lubbock, Texas. Her first paid professional gig was voice matching a selected character for an educational software program. From there, she did the local traffic reports in the Dallas market and earned much respect for continually hitting her on-air segment window and allocated time for live reporting --- all from a helicopter.
Occasionally, you might still find Susan doing open mic night at one of the local comedy venues, or you might catch her perform with an Improv troupe she helped form known as "The Heard Monkeys". Susan also does LIVE ANNOUNCING at various regional and metroplex events like Bridal Shows, Holiday Parades, and Veteran's Fundraisers, Santa Runs and area Food Festivals.
Susan now lives north of the Dallas area, shares her life with one amazingly 'grounded' husband, two silly cats. She enjoys adventurous world travel in her time off. BY HIRING HER,YOU ARE HELPING HER ACHIEVE HER LONG TERM GOAL OF PURCHASING A WINTER RESIDENCE IN BORA BORA, TAHITI!!
