Thanks for this podcast. I have tried a few of the programs you mentioned. I like liked Adobe and was very excited to hear about the new program. Thanks for taking the time to inform us!

    Dan,
As soon as you mentioned the editing block and razor blade you had my attention. That was me, 30-odd years ago. Now I do voice-overs at home. I’m furiously checking out Adobe Soundbooth. Sounds like the answer to my prayers.
Thanks so much. You have a new fan.

    Hello Dan,
I’m new and green. Don’t remember how I found it, but I have about 9 days remaining on my trial version of Soundbooth. I like it, and you just convinced me to buy it. Thank you for the expert review.

    Hello Dan,
I know this interview is a few years old and I heard that Adobe has discontinued Soundbooth. So what’s your recommendation now in 2012 for the best single track voice program? I was using Sony Sound Forge 9 for my voice-over work but my laptop recently died and with it the program since my disk has been lost. Sony tech support will not respond to any of my requests. I need to buy another program and just want to make sure what I’m using is the best for me. I’m slightly challenged technically but can figure most things out.
    Phil
