Overview

Lucy Newman-Williams is an American actress with 30 years experience in film, television, theatre and voice work. Lucy appears in upcoming episodes of BBC's Doctors, the sci-fi classic Red Dwarf X, and a BBC Radio 4 dramatization of the book "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance." Other credits include, HBO’s “The Wire,” NBC’s Homicide: Life on the Street,” and John Waters’ “A Dirty Shame.”
Voice work includes lead characters in computer games, the voice of a red-headed biscuit from Texas in the Cadbury’s Fingers ads that spoof Dynasty and Dallas, the evil boss in the Diet Coke “Marionettes” ads, and ADR for the films “Gravity,” and “Hyde Park on Hudson.”
Lucy has created a wide range of character voices for games and animation. Her skill with commercials comes from many years experience. Whether it’s hard or soft, Lucy knows how to deliver nuance and colour that actually sell. (The Washington Post newspaper called one of Lucy’s political campaign-ads “devastatingly effective.”) And her corporate delivery is human and relaxed, with just enough authority to inspire confidence.
