Overview

Marlene has taught voice and drama to children and teens. Some of her biggest influences in acting/comedy/show business are Madeline Kahn, Lucille Ball, Carol Burnett, Gilda Radner, Audra MacDonald, Maria Bamford, Fanny Bryce and Andrea Martin.
She is a lyric soprano, actress and sketch comedienne of Latin/Puerto Rican background.
She has earned a BM & MM from Manhattan School of Music for Classical voice. She' travelled across the country and internationally in concerts and musicals. Produces and hosts her own cable show called Marlene Villafane Presents RUASTAR a LIVE tv musc show which airs every Tuesday night at 11PM CH 56/1993 on Spectrum. Practices Yoga. She is Spanish speaker
Winner of the 11th Annual One Festival for her one woman show MARLENE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD where she performed impressions and talked about her favorite performers she loved watching and studying on tv, film, and musicals while growing up painfully shy and gawky in NYC!
