The National Museum of Fine Arts is home to over 12,000 items and is one of the Best Art Collections in Latin America. It was inaugurated in 1896 and moved several times before coming to this site. The san Telmo Market is a favorite haunt of locals and tourists designed by italian born architect juan Antonio Busce chiasso. The historic market preserved its original internal structure made up of a large central dome, beams, arches and metal columns with sheet metal and glass roofs.
