industrialization has changed the way that we eat. It's led to the miracle of cheap and abundant calories, but it's also been the root cause of an ever expanding obesity epidemic. In the same way technology has changed the way that we learn. But with the miracle of cheap and abundant information comes a brand new set of problems. Sometimes we call this information overload, but that concept doesn't really make sense. We don't say that an obese person is suffering from food overload. It's not the food's fault. The fried chicken isn't making and purchasing itself and flying into people's mouths blaming the information is equally as absurd. Instead, what we suffer from is information over consumption and it comes with all kinds of nasty physical, psychological and social consequences. The solution isn't in tools and filters. It's in habits and healthy choices. It's time we started being as selective about the information we consume as we are the food that we eat to survive in the world of information abundance. We need a balanced information diet
