How do I vote in the local elections in Northern Ireland When you go to cast your vote on thursday the second of May, you'll need to show an acceptable form of photographic I. D. Don't worry if your photo ideas out of date as you can still use it at the polling station, you will then receive one ballot paper. You should rank candidates in Order of preference. Put a one next to your first choice, a two next to your second choice and so on. You can rank as fewer as many candidates as you like. If you need any assistance, just speak to the polling station staff who will be happy to help share this to make sure your friends know how to vote on two May.
