doll by brit alexandria. As she walked down the hall, a mother noticed her son's door was cracked. He was talking to someone which isn't unusual. He had imaginary friends who visited from time to time. She peeked her head in to ask if he and his friend wanted a snack. She froze, the words stuck in her throat. The someone he was speaking to was a doll that she hadn't seen since her own childhood. Where did you find that? She asked. She was sitting on my toy chest, he replied she was crying, but she told me how to make her happy. He brushed past his mother as he walked out of his bedroom. Goodbye. Mommy, I love you! The woman began to tremble as she watched the dolls, cherry red painted grin widened to an ungodly size.
