Currently, I'm a playwright/screenwriter.
I went to Fresno State University. Go Bulldogs! Then a year at UCLA and another at the University of San Diego. Served my country in the Coast Guard (just like Alex Haley) and in the Peace Corps (just like Jimmy Carter’s Mum, Miss Lillian). In the 80’s, I signed on as a federal bureaucrat and learned to say (with an absolutely straight face), “I’m from the government and I’m here to help you.” Picture that. The former Pakaporn Suvansarang is my spouse of thirty-six years. We have one son, Thomas Russell, age 25, a proud graduate of Mountain Lakes High School. Go Herd! I have a radio quality voice and I put it to good use, recording books on tape for the blind and dyslexic. I like the New York Times, Mexican beer and songs about star-crossed lovers.
Before I was a playwright, I was a radio guy. That was back in the Greater New York area 10 years ago. I was the weekend Top-Twenty Countdown Guy at WKMB. I was the Afternoon Guy 5 days a week at 90.5 The Night. And I was the Morning Drive Sidekick and News Guy at WTBQ.
Here is a Youtube video of me acting in a play. I'm the big guy with the deep resonant voice (Website hidden)
