I'm known for responsiveness to my clients and quick turn-around. I am also available to assist in refining scripts for foreign clients writing for an English market.

My rates are based on project length, with a minimum recording fee of $250.00 US. For projects 2,000 words or less, the rate is $75/page, based on 275 words-per-page. For projects over 2,000 words, my rate is .20/word. Depending upon the length and type of project, I usually include one round of pickups for any reason (read, recording or re-write) and unlimited pickups based on my performance. After the first round of pickups, I charge a $100 minimum pickup fee for copy changes and omissions.

After 30 days of project close, the minimum recording fee of $250 will be charged for additional changes and pickups.

About Deborah

Deborah Sale Butler

Overview

Deborah Sale Butler has spent the past 30 years voicing commercials, animation, corporate industrials and training tutorials. Deborah's bright, upbeat voice has been featured in direct marketing campaigns for CT Screening, Proflowers (for whom she also provides ongoing telephone, on-hold messaging), Turbotax and The Los Angeles Times. With a smooth, confident delivery, Deborah has worked for corporate clients like Marathon Ashland Petroleum and Hitachi. And her clean, friendly sound can be heard on educational (e-learning/video tutorial) projects, like the Masters in Education program for the University of California. Business clients love her ability to deliver technical information or directions in a professional, yet listenable way on motion graphics, powerpoint and whiteboard animations for industrial projects and trade shows. Her narration skills also landed her books-on-tape for children (through Scholastic Book Services) and adults, including Ann Lander's "Wake Up and Smell the Coffee" for Soundelux Audio and the "Harvard Health Textbook" for McGraw-Hill. But as a dialect specialist and master of character voices, Deborah has played everything from ten-year-old boys (most notably, the character of Shute on 26 episodes of the animated series "SD Gundam Force" for Cartoon Network) to tough, edgy, military commanders in games like "Heavy Gear 2", the online prequil to "Halo" and the amime' series "Avenger." Deborah created dozens of characters, most with British Island dialects like South London, Royal British or Scottish (and one opera-singing Valkerie) for the online games "Everquest" and "World of Warcraft." When asked to sing again, Deborah provided the speaking and singing voice for Wilma Flintstone in an online Fruity Pebbles campaign,"Bedrock Superstar." Deborah provided yet another voice match for Sigourney Weaver, in the game version of "Despereaux" for Universal, a Captain Janeway sound-alike for the "Star-Trek, The Next Generation" game for Spectrum Holobyte and, most recently, voice matched Helena Bonham-Carter for a trailer re-make. She can be heard on dozens of games for Bandai, Sega, Sony and Activision. And if you call Proflowers Customer Support, you will hear her voice on the phone answering system. She's also the voice of the IVR system for Dun and Bradstreet among others, creating both warm and professional sounding telephone recordings.
