My name is Emily Cameron and I am 19 years old. I am currently attending Dalhousie University in Halifax to complete the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. I have been a competitive cheerleader for almost 15 years now. I have won the Canadian Nationals twice in Niagara Falls and I will be competing in the World Championships in Orlando, Florida this April. I am also a certified tumbling coach. I have some experience with runway modelling for local fashion brands but I currently have a part-time job at Brightwood Golf and Country Club. For as long as I can remember, I have always been bullied for my voice. People used to compare me to the cartoon Elmo. This made me HATE my voice to the point where I would not even listen to a video if my voice was in the background of it. Almost every new person I meet has something to say about my voice whether it be positive or negative. Some people find my voice soft and soothing, while others seem to hear it as annoying and too high pitched. Over the past couple of years I have become much more accepting of my voice. I cannot even begin to count the amount of people who have came to me suggesting that I should go into some form of voice acting, so here I am deciding to give it a shot!
