I have been doing freelance work for over five years now. Only in the past two or three years have I started working on voice talent projects. My original passion was writing, but I have to say I have fallen in love with voice work. I am quite the talker in my personal life and have been told I am articulate and adapt my voice depending on who I am speaking with. I began trying voice work when I started listening to audiobooks, rather than simply reading. It prompted me to look into the field and I realized that there was a high demand for voice talent. I specialized in drama and was in every drama club and production in my area that I could be in from when I was 8 years old into young adulthood (on an unprofessional level). I went to college and specialized in theater/arts. I have done the most basic voice over work (I.E., IVR's, voice over for Youtube videos, or website intro's), and although I love it, I am looking to broaden my horizons and try dabbling in a bit of everything. English is my first language as I was born in the States, however, I am also equally fluent in Spanish. This allows me some room for variety in voice work. I understand French and can speak some. Although my accent is decent, it surely is not perfect, so I did not add that on my profile as a skill. I have been told that I am very articulate and give good expressiveness depending on the project's needs. I hope to continue to grow my voice work, as I truly enjoy it. I do, now, have a small studio where I handle my recording and editing so as to offer my clients the best quality of audio that I can.
