Another important thing to note is the use of barricades and what each one means to you when working on site. Barricades are meant to identify and warn individuals of hazards. Barricade tape is color coded to indicate the type of hazard. Yellow caution tape is used where there is a potential hazard or to warn against an unsafe practice. You may proceed through the yellow barricade after reading the tag and identifying the hazard. Use caution. Red Danger tape is used only where there is an immediate hazard. No one is allowed to cross a red barricade tape except the personnel working that job and those who have permission from the person or company who installed the tape.
