Did you ever experience uncontrollable hunger? How did it feel? Was there a sigh of relief after Khatami was full? We focus so much on having the nutritious diet. We look for the best in quality when it comes to food. After all, that is what we worked so hard for. But what if leave alone nutritious? There is not even enough food to eat. One side of the coin has abundance of food, numerous cuisines, different quality standards and nutritional values. When it comes to the other side of the coin, there is not even sufficient food to it. Look at the distinction between these two scenarios. How answer can it be? Statistics show, with approximately 8 21 million people around the world don't have sufficient food to eat. Every year, around nine million people die of hunger. Can anything be more painful than a person dying just because is unable to satisfy his hunger? That again traces to the element of food wastage. One third of only food produced for human consumption, which is approximately 1.3 billion tonnes, is wasted every year in the world, stuffing all the access food in your mouth so that a dozen get wasted just makes you fat. That dozen contribute to destroying hunger as a social issue in any way. When all that access food reaches the hungry person in need of food, it is then that we can make a change. They should be four banks in every street where people from every household can give their excess food, too. Hotels and restaurants should impose an excess charge if food is wasted and give a discount for a clean plate. That way, people will be motivated to stop wasting food that is not only discussed issues but also find ways to solve them. That does not only talk about hungry people, but also find solutions to and implement them to satisfy their hunger. Together we can fight hunger.
