About Matt McCart

Growing up I had a fascination with my little radio/tape recorder. It was one of those tape decks with a tiny, built-in microphone, and I would record myself doing my own radio shows, giving play by play to a Seattle Sonics game, or interviewing my sister(who I would force to play the role of Luke Skywalker). All my life, people told me, "you should be on the radio with a voice like that," and so, it came as no suprise to many when my little hobby turned into a passion and my passion became a career.

My college experience was given over completely to learning the ins and outs of broadcasting from Tom Evans Krause at 89.9 KGRG, Green River Community College's nationally acclaimed student run radio station. While at GRCC I also learned audio engineering and voice technique under the guidance of Jim Kampmann. Eventually, I took charge of the production and imaging department and for three years produced award winning material as well as going on to win Broadcaster Of The Year 2003 in a vote of my peers.

By 2002 I had begun an internship with the Imaging and Creative Services department at Entercom Radio Seattle under Blair Schultze, Joey Pepin and Jake Kaplan. This quickly evolved into a part-time job in the department and in that same year I was also given the oppourtunity to become an on-air personality at 107.7 The End. In 2004 I was hired on full time to manage the imaging and creative services department at 107.7 The End and assist the creative services department with work for 99.9 KISW, 103.7 The Mountain and 100.7 The Buzz(now The Wolf).

In my time at KGRG and Entercom I did creative writing and voiced spots for many diverse clients that include:
-Jose Cuervo Tequila
-The Seattle Mariners
-The Seattle Seahawks
-Inifinite Productions
-House Of Blues
-Trasher Presents
-Silver Dollar Casino
-Epicenter Fitness
-4 Wheel Parts Performance Centers
-Tiki Bobs Cantina
-Tower Records
-Easy Street Records
-Best Buy

As well as many other local and national buisnesses and events.

If given the oppourtunity, I'm quite sure I can make you just as happy with my work as I have made my clients in the past. Faster, more professional, more reliable and less hassle, that is my pledge to you. It's my job to make sure you are happy with every aspect of the work I do for you. I truly look forward to working with working with you if you decide that I've got what you need.
