Skill Overview

Voice Over

I have 20+ years of experience doing voice over work and pride myself on being versatile, easy to work with and committed to providing I have also worked as a writer and producer in advertising for over 20 years, so I understand how the industry works and what writers and producers are looking for in a session.

I have also worked as an improv actor, comedian and musician for over 20 years and have a great appreciation for the subtle arts of nuance and timing.

I take VO work very seriously because I love doing it. As a producer, I also know how much it sucks to be dealing with a VO talent who is acting like a jerk.

I have a home studio with ISDN and SourceConnect capabilities and business relationships with several studios in Atlanta.

I swear I'm humble. But great at this.

Overview

From character work to trailers I have a really wide range. For years I primarily focused on character work and played everything from the dumb dad roles to an alien on Aqua Teen Hunger Force. During that time, I landed an announcer gig for Cingular Wireless (now AT&T) and the voice was very conversational and about as excited about cell phones as a person could be. About 10 years ago, when I was hired to be the voice of the Braves, the reads used a much more raspy, authoritative read that moved into movie trailer territory. This landed me a role on a US Marines spot and I was one presidential election away from being the voice of the US Marines. I did a long video for the US Marines that won an ADDY gold and had read all of the spots for the Battles Won campaign prior to the 2016 election. They agency was looking to appeal to millennials and the approach was the careers the military can help you get into after serving your country. But, the outcome of the election changed their strategy. As the voice of Quaker State, we found a voice that's like the lovechild of Sam Elliot and Ron Swanson. So...there's a range from guy next store to cartoon characters to the voice of the Marines. I love working with producers and writers to find the right tones and inflections.
