author's note if you paid for this book you're a fool. If you bought this book you're smart. Let me explain. This is one of those things most authors don't talk about nor do most owners of any type of business really. They'd rather just take your money and run. There's a big difference between paying for a book and buying a book. Let me explain why Only Fools pay for books. The book in my personal library I value most is dan Kennedy's magnetic marketing. I bought it in 2008 and Reread it every year. Every time I reread it I get a new idea I could execute. It's literally accounted for thousands upon thousands of dollars in revenue for yours brulee and even more for many of my clients it doesn't even sit on my bookshelf. It resides on my desktop. That's how often I turn to it as a resource in my humble but highly accurate opinion. That is the litmus test of a book's value. Therefore I bought that book, I didn't pay for it on the flip side. I see people pay for books all the time. What I mean by that is 85% of people who pay for a business book, never open it. And worse yet of the 15% who do 75% of them only read the first chapter. Then it sits on a shelf and they proceed to chase the next bright shiny object looking for a magic bullet to solve their problems. Zero R. O. I. On that may as well just use that book as a paperweight coaster or doorstop fools pay for books. Smart people buy books. This phenomenon isn't just limited to books. It relates to any product or service you sell. You want buyers not. Payers buyers are consumers meaning they actually consume that which they buy, buyers have buy in and put to use that which they buy in order to actually achieve a return on their investment. A lot of people have bought my book stadium status. How do I know this? Because there isn't a month or even week that goes by when I don't hear from one or more buyers sharing their story of how the strategies in that book have made them money revenue exponentially greater than their investment. On the flip side. There are those who simply paid for the book. You don't merely want people paying for what your business produces, you want consumers. Why? Well, I'm glad you asked because if they don't consume whatever it is you sell then they don't actualize a return on their investment. In the likelihood of them becoming a customer decreases dramatically. Remember the definition of a customer is someone who makes a custom of buying your products or services if you want to join a horde of really smart leaders who have profited immensely from the book that came before this one, you have in your hands, do what they've done and don't pay me for it. Buy it at stadium status. Book dot com introduction. One of the biggest debates in sports, is the question of what's harder, gaining success or sustaining success. In order to do one, you have to achieve the other without gaining success. You can't sustain it. Having coached a championship level team. I can tell you that in my humble but highly accurate opinion, sustaining success is harder, which is why you see so few dynasties in sports and iconic brands in business. There are far more one hit wonders, so to speak. I share this with you because regardless of the industry you're in, what got you to the level you're at is never the same thing that will get you to the next level. And when you reach that new level, there is a completely different set of problems awaiting you? There's an old expression, new levels, new devils, and it's true Getting to stadium status is one thing, but moving beyond stadium status involves another whole level of sophistication, innovation, creativity, and a different perspective. How do you sustain that kind of success by reinventing yourself and refusing to give into complacency, no matter how successful you might already be. What follows in these pages are strategies that are outside the box designed to stretch your comfort zone, and not only elevate you, but also separate you from the competition. This applies, no matter how successful you already may be, is there truly a need for a sequel to stadium status. After all, I've already written a book about how to take your business to the big time. Does the business world honestly need another book on this subject? You're damn right. It does, especially the organizations that have big goals, but small budgets and the entrepreneurs who are high on ambition but are low on funds. The business landscape is growing increasingly complex and is constantly changing. There isn't any one single business book that can cover every aspect of what you need. Stadium status touched on many strategies that have taken athletes, entertainers and entrepreneurs from humble beginnings to national prominence because of page limitations, I had to hold back an enormous amount of content on the topic. This sequel is devoted to taking a deep dive into that content, read study and applies many of these strategies as are appropriate to your business goals. As you've seen from the reader endorsements in the previous pages, the strategies are plentiful, as are the profits. The more of these strategies you use, the more you will grow your business and your profits. But I will warn you, these tactics don't have very much in common with conventional business strategy strategies in a book alone, do not grow a business or win games. People do now with that in mind. What you do with the resources I share is what makes the biggest difference. So let me be frank with you implementing these strategies is going to require that you invest intellectual resources far more than financial resources, your creativity, time and energy will be the most valuable asset. You apply after reading these pages to maximize your results and make sure your efforts pay off to the greatest degree. I highly recommend you also read stadium status, taking your business to the big time. If you haven't already done so you will sleep very well and feel good knowing that most of your competitors are probably not using my stadium status strategies. Why? Because according to the Pew Research Center, Nearly a quarter of American adults had not read a single book in the past year and by book, I mean any format kindle, paperback or even listening to an audiobook while they're commuting. In fact, the number of non book readers has nearly tripled since 1978. Meanwhile, by reading and more importantly, applying the strategies in this book, you're elevating and separating yourself from the competition as you read this book and the original stadium status, take inventory of the number of strategies you're currently using. Then realize you're being offered a host of resources you're not using yet executing many of these strategies won't even cost you a dime. They do, however, require an investment of your time, energy and creativity. For example, let's compare hosting a podcast versus buying radio advertising, assuming you have even just a modest size audience podcast almost always outperformed commercials. Why? Because a radio ad is a 30 or 62nd commercial for your brand and the podcast is essentially a 30 to 60 minute infomercial for your brand. The best part, the podcast is free and the commercial isn't, You can't build trust in 30-60 seconds and your prospects certainly can't get to know you in that short amount of time either. It's the difference between subject matter being a mile wide and an inch deep versus being an inch wide and a mile deep, demonstrate your depth whenever possible. Speaking of which did I mention, I have a podcast you can subscribe at https colon backslash backslash anchor dot FM backslash coach brew podcast. That's C O A C H B R U P O D C A S t. Remember how I mentioned earlier that 85% of people who pay for a business book never open it. And worse yet of the 15% who do 75% of them only read the first chapter. Well, I've decided to make this nice and easy for you. I've consolidated this entire book into one chapter. Why do most people only read one chapter of a business book? Because most business books suck. Yes, I said that about my own industry. Why? Because a lot of books tend to only contain one or two actionable ideas and then the rest of the pages are just filled with fluff or tired old metaphors about someone who had their cheese moved about blue oceans or about digging your well, blah, blah, blah. More than a quarter of a million new books are published every year. Yet there are very few new ideas. Just a lot of old ones, authors have ripped off or repackaged. My core belief in business is that your best ideas will always come from outside your industry. As a result, there will be new ideas or at least new for your industry and your business. And that belief basically summarizes the value proposition of each of the 13 books I've written as well as my coaching and consulting practice. Technically speaking the entire book is in this one chapter. But if it makes your brain feel any better, you can go ahead and treat the bold headings and titles on certain pages as chapters of their own. The content within those headings contains stories, techniques and ideas you can begin to use right away in your business, help you adapt the strategies to your own business. I've included something called Stadium Steps, which is a short coaching session at the end of each section. These coaching points help you map out a clear, actionable strategy that will let you apply the wisdom you gained and advanced beyond stadium status in your industry. Ultimately, this book isn't just about what you can learn. It's about what you can execute. So if you don't answer the questions in the stadium steps as you go, you'll struggle to apply the wisdom all at once. Later, do yourself a favor, answer the questions and take notes as you read. You'll thank me later. Let's get started.
