Prior to my delivering a finished product for a client my step-by-step process involves the following:
1. First read. Slowly and carefully read through the new script line-by-line working to fully understand what the client’s intended message is. Study the client’s specific instructions, requirements and guidelines as provided.
2. Based on the first read work to clearly identify the audience and the market being addressed. Specifically, who is the client’s message being directed to.
3. In-Depth Read. Now analyze the script in detail. Methodically break down the script focusing on the message, the tone, the cadence, the volume, and the delivery style.
4. Begin multiple practices. With the client’s message dialed in, the audience set in mind, and the script marked and ready for delivery begin the practice process. No final product is ever delivered to the client without multiple records, playbacks and practices on my part. The finished product is always a result of time, effort, focus and professionalism.
