Get into a comfortable seated position, ground your sitting bones into your mat or chair and lengthen your spine, feeling as if a string is pulling you up from the top of your head. Maybe you tuck your chin slightly to help you find length in your neck. Bring one hand to the heart and one hand to the belly, then begin to turn inward, focusing on your breath. Notice your belly, ribs and chest expand on your inhale, then notice your chest ribs and belly contract on your exhale, continue this working to create a steady, even breath.
