Hi, I'm Stacey Alexis Coleman and this is my narration demo In 1938, a Swiss chemist named Albert Hoffmann synthesized LSD for the first time while studying ergot a type of fungus though the pharmaceutical company that he worked for, Sandoz didn't have any interest in the compound. Hoffman found himself inexplicably drawn to it. Five years later, in the spring of 1943, he synthesized it again, noticing that it seemed to have unusual properties. After accidentally absorbing small amounts through his fingertips. One day in the lab, Hoffman had to leave work early under the effects of what he called a not unpleasant, intoxicated like condition. A few days later he experimented with taking what he thought was a small dose of LSD about 250 micrograms. A common dose. Now is more on the order of 100 micrograms, and proceeded to trip out of his mind and experience he describes in his book LSD my problem, Child Louise. There you are. They both straighten Louise, moved the bottle away from her mouth. The boy Cora saw now was actually a young man in his late twenties, at least blond stubble on his chin. His light eyes took in Cora with an expression of utter disappointment. Cora looked at Louise. I worried you'd gotten lost, she said, and then regretted it. The obvious lie. Louise nodded without another look in the man's direction. She walked quickly toward Cora. She was wearing an ivory calf length dress with a peter pan collar, no hat and very high heels, so high backed that her head was almost leveled with Cora's. She smiled, but her dark eyes were trained on Cora's face, clearly trying to read it. Are you going to make trouble? She seemed to ask right from the start, when we could get along so well. There once was a boy called Jack, who was brave and quick witted. He lived with his mother in a small cottage, and their most valuable possession was their cow, Milky White. But the day came when Milky White gave them no milk, and Jack's mother said she must be sold. Take her to market, she told Jack, and mind you get a good price for her. So Jack set out to market, leading Milky White by her halter. After a while he sat down to rest by the side of the road. An old man came by, and Jack told him where he was going. Don't bother to go to the market, the old man said, sell your cow to me. I will pay you Well, look at these beans only plant them, and overnight you'll find you have the finest bean plants in all the world. Ah
