Hey, everybody, Welcome to the Sidemen Chronicles. I'm your host, Jacob Lower. Thanks so much for checking out this podcast. I'm a session and touring bassist here in Nashville, Tennessee, and I've been able to play behind some really great artists on the road and in the studio. Michael McDonald, Burt Bacharach, Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, Steven Curtis Chapman, Shaka Khan, Kenny Loggins, Josh Groban, Natalie Grant and CC one is just to name a few men. I love that guy, Matt Stanfield. I'm so grateful that Matt took the time to share all those stories and experiences with us. I sure hope that his words have inspired you guys like they've inspired me. If you want to hear some of mats original music, go to any streaming site and check out cloud cover. And for all of you musicians and producers that want a fresh take on sounds, samples and loops, go to track fox dot com. That's track dash fox dot com. I've been a professional sidemen for my entire career, and I've always enjoyed talking to the other side men and women that support the artists and songs that we all love. This episode features one of the most talented guys in the music business. His talent, honesty and musical integrity are things that I immediately noticed the first time that I got to work with him. I'm talking about Tim. Lower Steve has been a first call session drummer here in Nashville since the nineties. Here is some of the artists that he has supported live and in the studio. Richard Marx, Faith Hill, Amy Grant, Peter Cetera, Dirks Bentley, Michael W. Smith, Bob Seger, Big and Rich, Chris Tomlin, Chicago. Little Big Town, Sara Groves and so many more. In fact, he's played with so many artists that in part two of this interview, I'll do an entirely different batch of artists. Truth be told, drums were my first love. I spent many years scoping out and trying to copy Steve's amazingly musical drum parts. So the fact that we're friends and co workers is really a big deal to me. Okay, I've said enough. Here we go with Part one of my interview with the amazing Steve Brewster. This episode is sponsored by our good Friends. W fl three drums W fl. Three drums is part of a tradition of drum builders that goes back over 100 years. Bill Ludwig. The third is bringing back the craftsmanship and legacy of America's first family of drum building.
