The Incredibles

The Incredibles movie is centered on a superhero dad, Mr. Incredible, voiced-over by Craig T. Nelson and the super heroine mom, Elastigirl, voiced by Holly Hunter. After years of being the greatest crime fighters in their city, the superheroes start becoming the focus of multiple lawsuits from the very people they’ve saved. To protect them, the government puts them into a witness protection program where they are forced to give up their superhero ways and try to adapt to normal suburban life. They have three children who all have budding superhero powers, but are forced to keep them under wraps at school and with their friends. Soon, Mr. Incredible grows bored and is tricked back into using his powers. A past admirer, and now a disillusioned nemesis, Buddy Pine, voiced-over by Jason Lee baits Mr. Incredible and an all out destruction in the city ensues. It takes the whole Incredible family to fight Buddy Pine and save the day once again.

Craig T. Nelson voices Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible and brings this suburban dad/superhero to life. Nelson has been acting since 1971 and has worked on many TV and movie projects since.

Holly Hunter

Holly Hunter gives a stellar voice-over performance as Helen Parr/Elastigirl. This is a strong character and runs the Parr/Incredible household while attempting to keep her husband and children’s powers under check. Hunter has numerous movies and TV shows to her credit, but hadn’t ventured out into voice over jobs until this role.

Samuel L. Jackson

Samuel L. Jackson performs the voice over for the character Lucius Best/Frozone, Mr. Incredibles’ best friend and fellow superhero. Frozone helps the Incredible family fight off Buddy Pine and joins them in saving the day. Jackson is a pro at voice-overs and is credited as the voice talent of the narrator of the movie Inglorious Bastards, Gin Rummy on The Boondocks, and several characters on the TV series Afro Samurai. Jackson has also lent his voice to video games such as Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in which he plays Officer Frank Tenpenny.

Jason Lee

Jason Lee breaks out his boyish side to voice the good-turned-evil snotty brat, Buddy Pine/Syndrome. Lee’s voice talent is totally believable and captures the nuances of Buddy perfectly. To his credit, Lee played Bones in the animated feature Monster House; once again he aced the voice of his character. Unbelievably, Lee has had little experience in voice over work, but his voice talents are widely recognized.

Dominique Louis

Dominique Louis gives voice to the character Bomb Voyage who speaks with a French accent. Louis has been involved in many animated features but performing roles outside of voice-overs. Her other voice credit is that of a title car designer in Mater and the Ghostlight.

Eli Fucile

Eli Fucile does the voice over for Jack-Jack, the youngest of the Incredible family, still a baby finding his superpowers. Fucile has no other voice credits, besides The Incredibles and Jack-Jack Attack to his name.

Spencer Fox

Spencer Fox lends his voice to the Dashiell “Dash” Parr, the middle child of the Incredible family. Dash has a hard time keeping his super fast superpowers out of the limelight. Fox is a young “old” pro when it comes to voice over work. He has worked on the Disney animated TV series Kim Possible, as the voice of Tim and Jim Possible and in the movie Air Buddies as the voice of Mudbud.

Sarah Vowell

Sarah Vowell adds her voice to character Violet Parr, as the eldest of the Incredible kids. Violet shows her true strength when things get tough and pitches in to bring down Syndrome. Vowell is not credited with any other voice roles, but she has been involved in both documentary work and television.
