What are standard buyout fees?

If a client wants a specific voice character I use to be 'bought out' nationally for television and radio, i.e. no longer used for any other advert, how do I rate that?

You'd want to draw up a contract and really think about how valuable the voice is.  Remember, they are saying that they don't ever want you to use it for another ad, ever.  You could offer one rate for a contract similar to a Union contract, for example, $2500 for one 16 week cycle to be renewed at the same rate if the ad is continued beyond that point for the same amount of time.  Or you could say, 10,000 (or up) for life.  You could still use it for animations, narrations etc.  Just a suggestion.
