I'm considering headset with noise cancellation mic; anyone have inputs on gaming headsets?

Not sure whether issue is Home Recording or Technique, but having trouble staying "on mic" for longer reads. When I add re-reads at end of track, I don't always match my tones (eg, find sweet spot). Would a mic that moves with me be an option? Does any mic truly "cancel noise"? Lots of questions--sorry.

Gaming headsets are generally not a high enough quality for professional grade recording.

You are likely to have a better result by using a more professional microphone than one that is designed for gaming.
