Do I need to edit my ebook if there is no direction?

I recently got an ebook narration gig, but there's no direction as to whether or not I am responsible for editing, breaths, normalizing, eq'ing, etc.
Do I just assume that I should give a raw recording and they will edit as needed? They have their own audio engineer, too.

In the future, it's always a good idea to discuss your client's needs before beginning a project. You'll want to include it in the quote, if possible. For example: "Price quoted reflects, raw, unedited audio." If the client wants more editing time from you, you can always negotiate that before accepting the offer. As it stands now, it's a good idea to touch base with the client to be sure of what they expect.
