Should I be editing auditions to remove breaths, clicks, false starts, etc, or just give them the raw audio?

I'm relatively new to the online approach to v.o. work, and despite dozens of auditions (which I edited as described, but of course no effects or music), I've yet to be awarded a job. I've been working in film/tv for decades and have more than a little exposure to the requirements placed on the voice talent, and I really don't think I was wrong for every one of these projects, so I have begun to wonder if I'm just auditioning wrong. I understand that there is a very deep and broad pool of talent out there, and I am realistic (I think) about my own abilities. Seems to me that after getting several thumbs-up I should have been awarded one or two of those jobs... thanks in advance for the insight!

I can only give you my perspective which might be different from anyone else. It took about 100 auditions before I booked my first job on Voices. Since then, I don't really see a pattern or ratio of number of auditions to jobs received. For me it has more to do with getting the audition in quickly (before no more than 25 others). I do edit everything out of the file (breaths, room noises, false starts etc.) before sending it. Once the client used my audition as the final product. It was short and they didn't need a re record.
My advice is to send a clean audition and learn to do it as fast as you can. Good luck.

Thanks, Michael. Makes sense to me to provide the best, cleanest read I can produce, which is what I've been doing.
