General Demo - Trailer/Promo/Commercial/Narration/Character
This demo features a small selection of the wide range of voices, styles, ages, and genres that Scott Gentle performs every day for clients around the world.
All of the VO tracks heard on this sampler (except one....can you figure out which?) were recorded in Scott's fully-equipped broadcast-quality studio in New York City.
TRAILER: Sony Everquest 2 SkyShrine
Scott's latest and most explosive VO performance yet for Sony's Everquest online video game franchise.

Automotive - General Demo
Scott Gentle's General Automotive Demo, which also provides a taste of his wide range - mellow, hard hitting, mature, young, excited, laid back deliveries are all represented here.
TRAILER - Sony Everquest II "War Of Zek" (Online Game)
Scott Gentle has been the "wise quest-giver" voice of several trailers for Sony Online Entertainment's long-running Everquest massively multiplayer online game franchise - this is an excerpt from the very first.
TRAILER - "Ocean's 11"-esque Corporate Presentation
From a video played at a convention of general managers for one of the world's largest hotel chains - listen to find out which it is.
TV: Youthful 20/30-something Personal Transportation
A TV ad which gives an excellent example of one of Scott's friendlier, lighter, younger voices.
A-Team Tribute
Scott's spin on the iconic A-Team TV show intro - not only did he voice this, but he produced it as well.
Youthful - Teen Nick (Nickelodeon) / Macy's Back To School
Audio excerpts from a :60 TV ad that ran nationally for Macy's on Nickelodeon's Teen Nick network co-promoting their new back-to-school fashion lines.
One of these - Material Girl - was created by Madonna and her daughter Lourdes (a/k/a Lola), and this spot was one of the first to promote it nationwide after the official launch a few days earlier. A different :30 second version ran on the Material Girl website following clips of the duo at a photo shoot with the face of the line, Taylor Momsen.
This spot is an excellent example of one of the energetic, youthful voices that Scott can deliver for projects of all types.
Software Company - Corporate
An example of one of Scott Gentle's deeper, moderately intense business-style reads for a technical software company.
TurboTax - YouTube Video
This is the soundtrack of a YouTube video Scott Gentle narrated for Dow Jones/Smart Money, which they recently placed on the TurboTax YouTube page for the 2010 tax year.
It features a moderate delivery but with a younger, friendlier voicing style with enthusiasm.
Allegra "Big News" Store Announcer & Legal Tag (Radio)
Scott Gentle was recently heard on radio stations across the US in two commercials for the allergy medication Allegra, which was recently approved for over-the-counter sale.
In the first ad, he's the overly enthusiastic announcer on the pharmacy's in-store intercom system.
In the second, he's heard at the very end performing the fast-talking legal disclaimer.
Charter Cable - Vancouver 2010 (TV/Radio)
I was recently heard across the country voicing the "Get Vancouvered" 2010 Winter Olympics TV and radio campaigns for Charter Communications, the 3rd largest cable TV provider in the US!
The script literally called for a "big booming announcer", and I think I delivered... ;)
This demo features all 4 spots that ran on radio (1 :60 and 3 :30s).
The TV campaign covered 11 spots (!), and all were voiced with similar copy using the same voicing heard here.
BEEF - A Sam Elliott Style Tribute!
A sample of a deep, husky country / western "cowboy" tone and style, which has been compared very favorably to actor Sam Elliott (Road House, The Big Lebowski, Tombstone), in a quick tribute to the famous ad campaign for the American Beef Council.
Mineral Mizer Bag - Web Video
Scott Gentle provided the "great outdoorsy" voice on this soundtrack from the web video for the Mineral Mizer Bag, a mineral supplement delivery system for deer, wild boar, and other wild sporting game.
The deep-drawled character style heard here is actually one of many variants derived from his take on the famous Sam Elliott "Beef" TV commercial.
Lawrence Hospital Center - Radio
Two 30 second radio spots currently running in the New York City metro area for Lawrence Hospital Center, promoting their exclusive low-dose CT scan machine.
(And no, that's not Donald Sutherland as the doctor the first couple of seconds in - it's fellow NYC voice artist and Voices.com member Jon Terzis!)
Narration - VO (Medical Sales)
Voiceover for a medical sales demo video, produced for German company TomTec; product is a new, novel-featured cardiac imaging system.
The client says it best:
"Scott is a true professional with a great voice. He responds promptly, delivers what he promises, at the time he promises it. His pronunciation of medical and technical terminology is impressive, and he is able to bring scripts to “life”. It is a pleasure working him and we will use him for future projects.

Ned Insurance - Radio
Two radio spots (:60 and :30) currently in use by Ned Insurance in Toronto, Canada - casting call for this one asked for the following characterization:
"slightly younger George Clooney (memorable, likeable) Jeff Bridges or Tom Selleck (friendly, distinct)"
Produced by Eric Harry Music, Toronto
Recorded at audioEngine, New York City
Miss Saigon Promo
Miss Saigon live theater promo, showcasing one of Scott's powerful but sensitive movie trailer-style voicings.

Political Demo - Spring 2010
A Political Demo for all parties - and those who aren't in a party at all.
Messages On Hold - VO & Production (Telecom)
- 8 on hold messages produced as part of an imaging package for a new VOIP/telecom company - check out my "Flash Presentation - VO & Production (Telecom)" demo, featuring audio produced for the web presentation.
- Each message clocks in at exactly 20 seconds as per client's phone system spec.
- Messages 5 & 6 use outside testimonial voices as per the client's request (contact me if you'd like to use them in one of your projects); I did the remaining production for these in addition to voicing/producing all the others.
Flash Presentation - VO & Production (Telecom)
- Audio soundtrack voiced and produced by me, the first of a 5-scene Flash web presentation for a new VOIP telecom company.
I was pleased to work closely with 3rd party web design geniuses FlashBooty.com on this one - check 'em out if you're a fan of (or in need of) great animation and artwork!
- This is the web lead-in to a company imaging campaign, in which I also voiced/produced several customized messages-on-hold for the client. Check out my "Messages On Hold (Telecom)" demo to hear them all!
Telephone & Voicemail Systems
Ever been simultaneously annoyed and amused by the quirks in the twilight zone of some phone messaging systems?
This is a VERY realistic example what it would sound like if you called a series of telephone systems around the world, with Scott Gentle as the voice talent on all of them. Extremely authentic AND with a surreal twist...this one's worth listening to all the way to the end - see why!
This fully produced demo showcases not only Scott's voicework, but also decades of multimedia production experience. Aside from the copywriting (and a couple of quick accompanying character voices that obviously AREN'T him), the concept, editing, and sonic tweaking/deconstruction are his handiwork, right down to the tiny earphone speaker simulations and line hiss*...
*(Which, of course, will not appear on your finished voice tracks - unless you wanted them, for some strange reason...)
Holiday Demo 2009 (TV/Radio)

How about a confident, slick, n' sexy read to promote that special tropical getaway on New Year's that's nowhere close to the North Pole?
If your product sounds remotely like any of the above, I'm ready to help you sell it quickly and professionally from my own studio deep in the heart of New York City, where I'm also available for live auditions and casting calls.
Medical Read
Standard generic medical read style.
Drill Sergeant - Full Metal Jacket Excerpt (WARNING: PROFANITY/ADULT LANGUAGE)
One of Scott's spins on the hard-driving drill sergeant character archetype, using a script excerpt from Gunnery Sgt. Hartmann in Stanley Kubrick's 1987 genre-defining classic film "Full Metal Jacket".
The style is of course very much influenced by the original actor, R. Lee Ermey, but this read is not meant to be a direct imitation or an impression of his voice or character - because NOBODY can touch the Gunny!
CONTENT WARNING: Although censored, this demo contains profanity and adult language as per the original script.
Santa Claus
Santa Claus. 'Nuff said!
(Well almost....Scott doesn't do live phone calls to children using this voice. Makes him feel a little weird, like he's gonna find a lump of coal in his stocking if he does. But he's happy to provide it for your next holly-jolly holiday project!!)
