Rosi Amador is a Spanish/English, bilingual and bi-cultural voiceover actor with absolutely no accent in either language. She is native speaker of both languages, however, if requested, she can also deliver English with Spanish accent, including Neutral Latin Spanish, Argentine, Puerto Rican or a slight Mexican accent, to suit a wide variety of demographics and specific populations targeted.
Bilingual projects are her specialty and passion; she brings her bi-cultural expertise to every project. A flexible actor and intuitive voice talent, Rosi's voiceover experience over the past decades is richly diverse. Longtime clients describe Rosi's voice as conversational, warm, friendly, believable, informative, caring, sparkling, energetic, fresh, pleasing, educational, expressive, enthusiastic, upbeat, uplifting, genuine, calming, sincere and natural.
Most importantly, clients often remark that Rosi brings her friendly, can-do attitude, professionalism and attention to detail to every single voiceover job she completes in her professional home studio, making her a favorite go-to voice talent for a wide variety of projects.
She is frequently booked for a wide variety of reads that capitalize on her warm, natural, conversational tone of voice from a Latina or North American nurturing Mom or a concerned parent, to funny and whimsical character voices in documentaries, animations or animated films and children books, an engaging, believable and professional tutorial instructor for educational, adult eLearning modules, corporate narrations, institutional videos, pediatric eLearning, training demos, interactive graphic novels, digital storybooks, mobile and iPhone apps, tourist guides, audio tours, podcasts, explainer videos, Spanish teaching apps and modules; a warm and understanding friend for holiday retail promos, sizzle reel demos, TV promos (incuding Discovery Familia and PBS' "Downton Abbey") , commercials, product videos, radio spots, TV spots, book trailers and video dubbing, a compassionate health and well-being video narrator for health care reform videos, an authoritative, engaging, trustworthy and confident narrator of animated, non-profit PSA's, business presentations, corporate narrations, corporate movies or videos, institutional videos, educational software, informational industrial videos and whiteboard animations, interactive whiteboard apps, to an engaging storyteller and narrator of bilingual children's stories. Her voice is often heard in government agency narrations including the CDC, U.S. AID among others. For many years she was the Spanish voice of the U.S. Department of Public Health's "Healthcare 411" - AHRQ's health tips for the Latino population (broadcast nationally and podcasted online) as well as voicing bilingual PSA's for in-store health announcements for the same.
One of her specialties is helping producers with her skills as a video dubbing /over-dubbing voiceover talent, reworking scripts to fit Spanish translations into previously made English videos. However clients also appreciate her more high-energy marketing style of read for enterprise, corporate ads and training videos. She regularly voices fast-paced commercials and tags for Disney on Ice, Comcast, Mattress Firm, Dr. Dental, and has just been signed by Pandora Radio, to name a few.
Because she is a flexible and skilled voice actress, she can sound childish (8-13 years old), pre-teen and teenager (13-18 year old), young adult (18-22 year old) and has as well a wide range of animated character voices. Her specialty is in both the young adult and middle age range (40-60 years old), as she is frequently cast in these roles, but she has also voiced documentaries, PSA's and commercials using a senior (65-85 years old) comforting grandmotherly tone of voice as well.
In her spare time Rosi enjoys meditation, yoga, jogging with her dog, Azure, in the local park, improvisational singing, eating delicious well made food (farm to table), movies, live concerts and salsa dancing. Her priorities are her family: husband Brian (also a bilingual voice actor), her twin teenage daughters (also bilingual voice actors!), her exercise and fitness and her work. When not recording voiceovers or studying voice acting, she sings as the Lead vocalist with her Latin band, Sol y Canto, co-directing the ensemble, which has toured nationally and released 6 albums, with her husband, guitarist/composer Brian Amador.
Rosi particularly loves voicing projects that reflect her values and the causes/institutions she sang for during her 25 years as a full-time musician including social justice, peace, human rights, cross-cultural understanding, access to healthcare, the environment, arts education, liberation theology, progressive education, women's colleges and Latino youth empowerment, among many others. Every year, Rosi searches for non-profits whose values align with hers to whom she donate her services. She is pleased to work as part of a team with independent filmmakers and documentary producers who work in partnership with non-profit organizations.
In 2012 she was thrilled to be selected as leading voiceover industry trainer NYC-based Edge Studio's Boston Voiceover Partner Coach.
Rosi is able to work with clients directly using: Phone Patch, Skype, Source Connect (ISDN available on demand) and now, the new IpDTL (an amazing new way of recording remotely that uses Chrome browser!) Ask Rosi for details to try it out with her studio.

"We auditioned several voice talents over a fairly long period of time and finally struck gold when we found Rosi. From the start, it was obvious that she was head and shoulders above the rest. She is completely confident in her skin, and this confidence combined with just the right amount of warmth and friendliness came across superbly in her voice. On top of all that, she is also very coachable and able to follow direction effortlessly. Because I am a professional entertainer used to microphones and cameras, voice-over work comes quite naturally to me. I am efficient, professional and quite enthusiastic about this work because I truly enjoy it.
Over the years I have discovered I can speak very quickly without stumbling and get jobs done promptly, or I can slow down to accommodate the needs of young learners. I have often found that scripts in Spanish tend to take longer to read than those originally recorded in English; the need has often emerged for me to help the project manager reduce text so as to fit in the designated space of time. Because I am a native Spanish speaker I am able to do this easily. I also often catch errors in translations made by script translators and am happy to make corrections on the spot or make recommendations for corrections for the clients' consideration, as requested.
I have also had acting experience and am able to read dramatically quite comfortably. I'm also easy to direct and fun to work with, and find that a good sense of humor goes a long way towards making clients feel happy when project is challenging. I am a dedicated team player and a creative problem-solver.
Ever since my childhood my parents always encouraged me to be a good communicator in both Spanish and English. Little did I know just how much I would appreciate the love they passed on for both speaking and singing bilingually. My love for communication is at the heart of my work and I'm honored to be able to put my skills at the service of my voice-over clients.
AMERICAN EXPERIENCE was looking for Spanish voice-over talent that would provide a broad range of reads, take direction with ease, and work efficiently. Both Rosi and her husband Brian, delivered! We couldn't have asked for a better team.PBS, American Experience

"Rosi did a marvelous job and everyone is very happy with the professional results. Most importantly, the patients are using the programs and have commented on how positive the message is in the podcasts. In no small way Rosi was partly responsible for this. The patients needed to believe who was leading them through the process and Rosi accomplished this like the pro that she is."Cogent Communications

"Rosi is very talented, professional and clearly dedicated to her craft. In both one to one conversation as well as during the recording session with multiple clients on the phone, she was very friendly, accommodating of client preferences and direction and receptive to critique. The recording session took approximately 20 minutes to complete -- but could have easily taken twice as long with a lesser talent. Rosi honed in on the main idea and tone needed for the piece and knocked it out quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Rosi Amador and are pleased to recommend her."Habanero, Inc. "I had the pleasure of working with Rosi on a recent corporate e-learning project. The voice actors were a key component in bringing the coursework to life. Rosi had the challenging task of blending just the right amount of accent into her English dialog and did so beautifully, perfectly capturing the personality of the character. She clearly enjoys what she does and cares deeply about the quality of her work and the finished product. Rosi was excellent about staying in touch throughout the production cycle and delivered exactly what was promised on schedule. I would happily recommend Rosi for her quality work, friendly helpful attitude and flawless professionalism."Curt Norris Media

"We asked Rosi to do bilingual voiceover work for a web-based survey research study, and the quality of her work was absolutely superb. Her reading of the material was flawless and expressive, exactly what we were looking for. In addition, Rosi and her colleagues are great to work with--extremely professional, and very responsive to our needs, including not only the voice work itself, but how the audio files were edited and transmitted to us. Recently I had the good fortune of working with both Rosi and Brian Amador of Amador Bilingual Voiceover services. As the FableVision producer of Mayan Mysteries, an online archaeological game, I needed talent who could record with and without an accent, and also be the voices of multiple characters. I also needed talent that could record many pages of script and maintain their characters, energy and good humor. Rosi and Brian were a perfect match for the job. They were a total pleasure to work with- professional, fast, and fun to direct! I used their recording and editing services as well, and everything was delivered as promised and on time.
