Brian Smith

Many years' experience in voicing business and eLearning productions led to a move to more commercial productions in 2011. In 2012, I added movie credits for a character in a supporting role and two retro styles, a 1950's newsreel and a trailer. From low and gravelly to medium-high and smooth, from conversational to outrageous, I'm eager to add some personality to your production.

Cartoons, Movie Trailers, Documentaries, Business, Educational, Radio, Videogames, Podcasting, Television, Internet

In 1988, I started in radio with the state of Georgia's public radio network, staying nine years as a classical and jazz host with additional roles as production manager and music director. I then moved to radio news, Atlanta's NPR affiliate, WABE, as the news anchor for Morning Edition, staying until 2005. For most of 2000, I was also the afternoon-drive host for commercial station WGKA when it flew under the "Voice of the Arts" banner.

Since 1995 along with the broadcast jobs, I've been providing voice-overs to business customers in my own production facility, initially specializing in B2B marketing and sales, then including eLearning and other training productions.

Since 2005, I've been working only in the voiceover world, first continuing my business and eLearning specialty for medical, legal, and pharmaceutical productions, and lately adding commercial and motion picture credits following professional training and workshops in L.A. and Chicago.

Service Description

I provide business customers a fast and friendly way to add professional narration to marketing and sales productions. For commercial clients, I bring a variety of approaches to the mic to make your product or service stand out. For all, I provide fast, free custom demos, and same- or next-day service is available for shorter productions. Sound files are always delivered in the way that's most efficient for the client to quickly use. In many cases, that means delivering separate sound files for the separate "slides" or "pages" within the presentation.

Thanks largely to my years hosting classical music programs and specials, I've a facility with foreign-language elements within English-speaking copy, chiefly French, German, Italian, Russian, and Spanish.
