Need a strong but youthful character voice? Imagine Gretel when she tells Hans they have to put the witch in the oven. Or Dennis Farina as a Powerpuff Girl. Jeanne Fishman’s voice print combines sweetness with firmness, a sharp but child-like timbre. Her audio books, and animation series show her ability to deliver a wide variety of characters, from wisecracking kid, talking toy to haunting child ghost. As a narrator, she infuses her performances with a young child’s wonder and an adult confidence. Her commercial work is friendly, enthusiastic. And, on account of Jeanne’s clear, high, vocal quality utterly free of “sing-song,” indelible. Jeanne’s voice, says George James, who produced titles with her at Audible, “lent charm and personality to our books. As soon as I heard her, I knew it would be as I hoped.”
