Voices CEO Contributes to the Forrester Wave: Online Testing 2010 Report after a 400% Increase in conversions

A new report from Forrester Wave featured David Ciccarelli, co-founder of Voices. Ciccarelli relayed the company’s direct experience using online testing tools and how they achieved a 400% increase in conversions.
Voices President and CEO, David Ciccarelli was interviewed for this year’s Forrester Wave: Online Testing 2010 Report for Customer Intelligence People. Ciccarelli shared how by working with Google Website Optimizer the company was able to achieve a 400% increase from a total of eleven experiments, which were carried out at five different stages of the conversion funnel.
Best practices established from the exercise included surveying existing customers to learn about hidden opportunities or possible objections, monitoring visitor behavior by analyzing traffic patterns in Google Analytics and identifying user experience issues by using a service such as UserTesting.com. The results were analyzed and acted upon by launching both split tests and multivariate tests using Google Website Optimizer.
By using A/B and multivariate testing techniques, the company experimented with different design elements to find a winning combination.
With Google Website Optimizer, Voices was able to test visitor segmentation, the inclusion demonstration videos and graphical design elements such as button placement, font colors and font sizes resulting in a 400% increase in conversions.
