It was a day in the office like any other. I started off with my usual cup of coffee. Black, no sugar. I never understood how those other corporate drones could drink those soy lattes and green teas. I mean, what's the point after checking my email, most of which was spam. I decided to kill some time by blankly staring at my computer screen. I watched the numbers on the clock slowly go nowhere and it was right then that I decided it was time for a change. There are many predatory animals in Africa that could kill a human, but the deadliest creature in Africa isn't a predator at all. It's a parasite with the population in the tens of millions mosquitoes are the perfect buzzing arsenal for the tiny protozoan parasite called Plasmodium. When transmitted via mosquito bites. The Plasmodium parasite causes the disease, malaria which sickens millions of African adults each year and is often deadly to Children. When my father moved, I snatched up the small torn piece of white paper I'd seen trapped beneath his shoe. Once again, the adults in the room were overlooking the evidence right beneath their feet. All they could make out was a funny code written in red ink GYQ 392. So I shoved a piece of paper in my pocket and waved to my father on the way outside. Thank you for listening. I'm Andrew Coleman.
