Regional accents used in commercials, audio books and almost every other voice venue, should be accurate or the listener will be turned off and it will reflect badly on all concerned with the project. My best advise is not to try an accent unless you are sure it will sound like the "real thing." Having grown up in the south, this southern accent comes quite naturally.
